Joel Makin

Joel Makin is the Welsh No.1 and one of the most exciting players on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Ranking with a current highest career ranking of No.38.

Based at the Rob Owen Academy (ROA) at the West Warwicks Club on the outskirts of Birmingham, Joel Makin is widely recognised as a young player with outstanding potential having reached the semi-finals of the 2018 Commonwealth Games staged in Australia.

Joel already a three-time winner on the PSA World Tour title having won the City of Greater Bendigo International in Australia in 2015, the 2017 staging of the Kent Open and more recently the 2018 Arnold Homes Tring Open.

Joel is the Welsh No.1 and a Welsh National Champion who has represented Wales at European and World Team Championships since 2014 as well as at the 2014 & 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2016 & 2017 World Doubles Championships.
