Joel Makin

Joel Makin is the reigning Welsh National Champion and Welsh No.1 with a highest Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Ranking of No.50.

Based at the Rob Owen Academy at West Warwicks Squash Club, Joel Makin is widely recognised as a young player with outstanding potential.

Joel captured his maiden Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title in August 2015 at the City of Greater Bendigo International in Australia where he defeated Martin Svec, Rohan Toole, Addeen Idrakie, Kush Kumar and Joshua Larkin.

In October 2016, Makin gained a major scalp as he qualified for the Wadi Degla PSA Men's World Championships on his first attempt at the tournament after a suprise win over Englishman Tom Ford.

Joel is the Welsh No.1 and Welsh National Champion and has represented Wales at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the 2016 European Team Championships in Poland and the 2016 World Doubles Championships in Australia.

Joel joined UNSQUASHABLE in January 2016 and uses the UNSQUASHABLE Y-TEC PRO racket which will be launched at the AJ Bell British Squash Grand Prix in Manchester in December & will be available exclusively from www.unsquashable.com
