Iker Pajares Bernabeu wins Christmas Day thriller to reach Qatar final

Iker Pajares Bernabeu defeated former World Junior Champion Karim El Hammamy 6-11 11-9 11-2 11-13 11-8 in 101 minutes to reach the final of Qatar Circuit #5 Squash Championships being staged at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha.

Iker, the Spanish No.2 fought back after losing the first game and almost closed-out a four-game victory but was extended to a deciding game and left it until the business end of the fifth before surging through to another stunning victory.
The final of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M15 World Tour event will be contested between Iker and top seed and local favourite Abdulla Al Tamimi who found himself two games down to India's Mahesh Mangaonkar and saved two match balls before taking the third 12-10 and going on to clinch his place in a second successive home final.
