The progress of
Joel Makin and
Josh Masters in the CCI International in Mumbai were handicapped after both UNSQUASHABLE players contracted food poisoning.
Joel Makin recorded an impressive 84-minute 11-8 8-11 11-6 8-11 11-7 victory over England’s Chris Simpson in the 1st round, however contracted food poisoning prior to his quarter-final against the in-form Indian No.1 Saurav Ghosal who defeated the Welsh No.1 and British U23 Champion 11-6 11-8 6-11 11-2 in 59-minutes.
Fellow UNSQUASHABLE player
Josh Masters lost his first round match against the Indian No.1 11-4 11-2 11-3 having been unable to recover from the debilitating effects of food poisoning contracted on the eve of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M50 World Tour event.
