Jahangir Khan remembers the 1983 WSF World Team Championships when Pakistan beat England

The 1983 Men's World Team Squash Championships were staged in Auckland and Hamilton in New Zealand and Pakistan successfully defended the title with the same team as two years previous – myself, Qamar Zaman (pictured) and Maqsood Ahmed.

We beat a New Zealand Youth team as well as Canada, Singapore and Scotland in our group matches before beating the United States, Australia and New Zealand in our final pool matches.
In the final in Auckland we beat England 3-0. Maqsood Ahmed beat Phil Kenyon 9-2 9-1 9-4, Qamar Zaman 9-3 10-8 1-9 9-3 and I beat Hiddy Jahan 9-3 9-3 9-7!!
More great memories!
