James Willstrop beats Lucas Serme to reach Wimbledon Open semi-finals

2016 champion James Willstrop eased past Lucas Serme of France 11-4 11-6 11-5 to progress to the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Club Squash Squared Open.

Fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Joel Makin who upset third seed Zahed Mohamed in a tough 84-minute 1st round encounter was denied a path to the semi-finals by Tom Richards of England who overcame the Welsh No.1 and British U23 Champion 11-8 11-5 11-7.

Second seed James Willstrop will play Mathieu Castagnet in today’s semi-final after the Frenchman defeated Egyptian qualifier Youssef Soliman in the quarter-finals of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M35 World Tour event.
