James Willstrop wins London Open

James Willstrop defeated Zahed Salem of Egypt 11-9 11-7 11-7 in the final of the 2018 London Open at the prestigious Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club to capture his 20th Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title.

Willstrop, who had looked in a good form throughout the championships, won the first two well contested games, finishing strongly in both games. The top seeded Englishman maintained his pace and accuracy to establish an unassailable 5-0 in the third game and despite a determined Salem recovered, Willstrop closed-out the third game and match in 50 minutes.
