Joel Makin beats Alan Clyne to reach Commonwealth Games semi-finals

Joel Makin battled for 99 minutes and produced one of the finest performances of his career to beat Scottish No.1 Alan Clyne 11-9 4-11 8-11 11-8 12-10 in arguably the most dramatic match of the 2018 Commonwealth Games to date and earn a place in the semi-finals of the Men’s Singles where he will play New Zealand No.1 and 2nd seed Paul Coll.

In the 3rd round, Makin defeated Christopher Binnie of Jamaica 11-4 11-5 11-2.
