Joel Makin denied Life Time Chicago Open title by Cesar Salazar

Despite another accomplished performance, Joel Makin was beaten 11-8 11-9 11-9 in the final of the 2017 Life Time Chicago Squash Open by top seed Cesar Salazar of Mexico.

The Welsh No.1, British U23 Champion and tournament fifth seed had dropped just one game in reaching the final of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M25 World Tour event following a succession of impressive wins over Alfredo Avila, Ashley Davies and Omar Abdel Mequid.
