Joel Makin extends UNSQUASHABLE relationship with new launch of new Autograph racket

UNSQUASHABLE is delighted to announce that it has extended its relationship with rising squash star Joel Makin which will see the 23-year-old Welsh No.1 continue to exclusively use and endorse UNSQUASHABLE performance rackets, clothing, strings and luggage.

Earlier this year, the young Welshman who joined UNSQUASHABLE in 2016, reached the semi-finals of the Men’s Singles at the Commonwealth Games in Australia and is currently ranked at a career high No.38 in the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Rankings. Based at the Rob Owen Academy (ROA) at the West Warwicks Club on the outskirts of Birmingham, Joel was last year crowned British U23 National Champion and is already a three-time winner on the PSA World Tour title having won the City of Greater Bendigo International in Australia in 2015, the 2017 staging of the Kent Open and more recently the 2018 Arnold Homes Tring Open.

“Since joining UNSQUASHABLE in January 2016, Joel’s professionalism and ferocious work ethic has seen him make significant strides up the PSA World Rankings and we are confident that under the guidance of the Rob Owen Academy his meticulous preparation will see him progress still further towards the highest echelon of the sport. UNSQUASHABLE rackets were fundamental to my success and hopefully this latest agreement will provide Joel with the platform to push on and build upon his considerable potential.”

“Joel has worked closely with our product development team over the past two and a half years and his input has been integral to our efforts of trying to develop the best possible products not just for the world’s leading players but for the everyday player. We are equally delighted that his new agreement will see the launch of the JOEL MAKIN AUTOGRAPH which has been engineered to his personal specification and will feature a distinctive red livery inspired by Joel’s Welsh origins,” added the former World No.1 who was unbeaten in 555 consecutive matches over 5 years and 8 months – the longest winning streak of any sportsman.

“I’ve really enjoyed being part of the UNSQUASHABLE team over the past two and a half years and I’m thrilled to be extending my relationship with them at such an exciting time for the brand,” said the Welsh No.1. "Having the opportunity to input into the development of future UNSQUASHABLE rackets has been a great experience and I can’t wait to be able to compete on the PSA World Tour next season with my very own JOEL MAKIN AUTOGRAPH racket!”
