Josh Masters progresses in Swedish Open qualification

Josh Masters defeated Erik Jakobsson of Sweden 11-5 11-5 8-11 11-2 in the first round of qualification for the UCS Swedish Squash Open being staged in Linköping and will today play compatriot Adrian Waller for a place in the main draw of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M70 World Tour event.

Josh Masters will hope to reach the main draw to compete alongside leading UNSQUASHABLE player James Willstrop.
 
Fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Charlie Lee pushed Adrian Waller in the first round of qualification before eventually losing 11-4 11-6 8-11 11-3 in 43 minutes.
 
The UCS Swedish Open was first staged in the 1970s and the 2018 edition will see ActiPro Event celebrate their 15th year running the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M70 World Tour event.
