Katie Malliff finishes fourth in British Junior Open U15 Championship

Katie Malliff underlined her considerable talent and undoubted potential by finishing fourth in the Girls U15 competition at the British Junior Open Squash Championships staged in Birmingham, England.

The British U15 Champion defeated Ninon Lemarchand, Nour Heikal and Kirstie Po Yui Wong to reach yesterday’s semi-final where she was beaten in five games by Aira Azman of Malaysia in a high-quality epic match. In today’s 3rd/4th play-off, Kate pushed Habeba El Dafrawy of Egypt before eventually being beaten 8-11 8-11 11-7 3-11.
Katie was competing in the Dunlop British Junior Open alongside fellow UNSQUASHABLE players Charlie McCrone, Finn Withington, Harry Bloomfield, Saran Nghiem, Cory Harding, Sonny Flint and Luke Credland.
