Patrick Rooney Defeats Arthur Gaskin To Reach Select Gaming Kent Squash Open Quarter-Finals

European Junior Champion Patrick Rooney of England underlined his potential as a future star of on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour with a spectacular 69-minute 5-11 11-8 8-11 11-4 11-8 victory over Irish No.1 Arthur Gaskin in the 1st round of the 2016 Select Gaming Kent Open Squash Championships.

The 18-year-old Englishman who qualified for the main draw following equally impressive wins over Sean Conroy of Ireland and Ondrej Uherka of the Czech Republic will play compatriot and second seed Tom Ford after his quarter-final opponent won a hard-hitting all-English battle with Ashley Davies, the third UNSQUASHABLE player competing in the championships.
 
Patrick joins fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Joel Makin in the quarter-finals of the $10,000 Professional Squash Association (PSA) men’s squash championships being staged in Maidstone, Kent from the 24th to 29th May.
