Patrick Rooney, George Parker & Ahsan Ayaz progress to Welsh Open quarter-finals

Patrick Rooney, George Parker and Ahsan Ayaz all progressed to the quarter-finals of the 2018 Welsh Squash Open being staged at the Rhiwbina Squash & Racketball Club in Cardiff.

Rooney defeated wild card Emyr Evans of Wales 7-11 11-7 6-11 13-11 11-4 in 69 minutes whilst George Parker beat Jaymie Haycocks and Ahsan Ayaz overcame fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Miles Jenkins.

Second seed George Parker will today play Ammar Altamimi of Kuwait whilst Patrick Rooney and Ahsan Ayaz will play Mohd Syafiq Kamal of Malaysia and Richie Fallows respectively in the quarter-finals of the of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) M10 World Tour event.
