Record number of UNSQUASHABLE players to compete in AJ Bell PSA World Championships main draw

James Willstrop, Joel Makin, Josh Masters, Iker Pajares Bernabeu, Bernat Jaume and George Parker will all compete in the 1st round of the AJ Bell PSA World Championships being staged today at the National Squash Centre in Manchester.

George Parker of England as well as Iker Pajares Bernabeu and Bernat Jaume of Spain all qualified for the main draw of this year’s world squash championships following impressive victories in an arduous qualification and will join fellow UNSQUASHABLE players James Willstrop, Joel Makin and Josh Masters in the 1st round.

Recently signed Sarah-Jane Perry will compete in the women’s main draw tomorrow.
The AJ Bell PSA World Championships is the biggest tournament in squash and will see the men’s and women’s tournaments played side by side for the first time since 2011, while equal prize money will be on offer for the first time in history.
The tournament is held at Manchester’s National Squash Centre up until the third round (December 8-13), with quarter-final matches onwards taking place at the Manchester Central Convention Complex (December 14-17).
Selected matches from the main draw will be shown live on SQUASHTV (Rest of World) or Eurosport Player (Europe only), while semi-finals and finals will be shown live on mainstream broadcast channels around the world, including BT Sport, beIN Sports, Fox Sports Australia and Astro.
