UNSQUASHABLE Ambassador Joel Makin claimed a strong 3-1 win against Englishman Adrian Waller. After a win in the first game, Joel started off the second game with a small lead up to 7-4, but let that slip as Waller closed the gap to win in a close 12-10.

The third set once again put Joel back in the lead as he led consistently throughout the game. With the pressure on Waller, he opened up a 9-1 lead in the fourth, which proved too much for Waller to overcome, with Joel winning the match 11-7, 10-12, 11-7, 11-2 in just over an hour.

With this win, Joel secures his first appearance in the finals of the National Championships, alongside 11-time finalist and fellow UNSUQASHABLE Ambassador James Willstrop in what is set to be a thrilling final.
