Sarah-Jane Perry will face Tesni Evans in the quarter-finals of the prestigious FS Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships being staged at Philadelphia’s Drexel University after an emphatic 28-minute 11-5 11-8 12-10 victory over Indian No.1 Joshna Chinappa.

In the men’s championship, Joel Makin tested defending champion Ali Farag and forced him into a tiebreak in the second game to underline his undoubted talent, but the player from Egypt was able to close out the win to play three-time U.S. Open champion Gregory Gaultier in the next round.

The other men’s quarter-final on the bottom half George Parker tested Germany’s World No.5 Simon Rösner before eventually bowing-out of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour event in 11-6 11-9 10-12 11-3.

The quarter-finals of the U.S. Open begin at 18:00 local time (GMT-4) on Wednesday October 10 and the action will be shown live on SQUASHTV (Rest of World), Eurosport Player (Europe only) and DAZN (Japan).
